Good to know the .3ds format works well. I’ll have to try that out. Which version of Blender do you use? I love the program, but for me modeling in it is difficult. Sounds like once the Bmesh toolset is implemented fully it will be better.

I usually use .3ds format which works well. In blender I usually weld verticles and convert triangles to quads (as much possible) but the AC model is not as clean and well organized as a blender model – many triangles.

Cool. How does the import into Blender work with Archicad? Does Blender handle the models well? Is much clean up needed?

Models are made with Archicad. AC is a specialised software for architecture; with many spec. functions: walls, windows etc.

So this was modeling in Blender, or Archicad? Never used Archicad. Is it similar to AutoCAD?

Thanks! Architecture models are made with Archicad renders with Blender/Yafaray.
